10 Mile + 5K Training Run

Join the Pacers fun run group early morning at 6:45am (run starts at 7am)  Saturday, September 15 at Oronoco Bay Park (race location) and participate in the "10 mile + 5K" training run.  Participants will run a ten mile training run prior to the 5K.  A great option for runners who need to get in a few more miles than the 5K distance affords.

A great training opportunity for the Army Ten Miler, Marine Corps Marathon, or other fall distance races!   Even better, there are no additional fees for the training run option and runners receive the same swag, chip timing (5K only at this time), children's activities, live jazz music, and post-run festival including food provided by Whole Foods Old Town, as well as:

*An organized training run with Pacers-own fun run leaders, Sonia Jarboe and Joe Schultz

*Free GU and pre/post run fluids (don't forget the great party after the 5K!)

*Pace groups

*A non-competitive atmosphere (unless you decide to challenge your friends!)

*Separate chip and race number pick up for training run pre-registered participants

*Separate fun run tent with bag drop area and dedicated toilet facilities

*Automatically entered into the "10 mile + 5K" raffle: win a pair of Mizuno shoes just for putting in your mileage (must be present to win . . hey, you have to do the mileage to get the shoes)

*Meet other area runners and learn about the great training options Pacers has to offer
