Join us for the third running of this important event that has raised over $138,000 for New Orleans and Gulf Coast relief and recovery efforts! Local partner organizations and neighborhood association representatives from the New Orleans area will attend to display information about their organizations and talk with attendees about their efforts on the ground. Come and declare your support for the rebuilding of this unique city.

Join us for a post race festival including music from Raddy's Second Line and Jazz Band, children's activities, and an opportunity to meet with local representatives from New Orlean's organizations about their rebuild efforts. Great food supplied by Whole Foods Old Town, Capital Bagel Bakery, and Keany Produce.

Course:
USATF certified course in beautiful Old Town, Alexandria. Stick around for a post-race Mardi Gras party with live jazz music and fresh food presented by Whole Foods Old Town.

Fees:
$20 entry fee through August 14
$25 entry fee August 15 through September 14
$30 race day registration.

Friends of New Orleans (FONO) is a private, non-profit, non-partisan, membership organization for people in the U.S. and abroad who care about the region. Our mission is to advocate for New Orleans and its surrounding parishes, inform people of those key issues that are shaping the national debate and decision making of the rebuilding effort, link individuals who want to help with the communities in the devastated areas, and motivate people to take part in the rebuilding effort. Packet pick up:
Thursday, September 13 and Friday, September 14 at Pacers (1301 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314) from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Race day packet pick up available 7:00am to 8:45am at Oronoco Bay Park.
Team Competition:
Congressional offices, agencies, and private firms are encouraged to sign up for the Roll Call Challenge. The top four runners/walkers from each team will score (one must be female) with no limit on the number of participants per team. Prizes awarded to top team in each division and overall winning team. Award also presented to the team with the most participation.
Roll Call Challenge Details
Three divisions are available:
Congressional division: Congressional teams may consist of staff from congressional offices, a state delegation, a committee or a combination thereof.
Agency staff division: Administration teams may consist of staff from any agency or a combination thereof.
Private Sector division: May consist of any staff from any private sector firms, trade associations, business, open, or a combination thereof.
Registration Information:
Members from all teams should register individually and choose their division and team name from a drop down box. The first registrant from a team will be able to set up the team through his/her registration form. No additional team registration fee applies.
Rules:
The top four runners/walkers from each team will score (one scorer must be female). Teams must be entered and rosters must be completed by Friday, September 14 at 8pm. No changes or additions will be allowed race day.
Each team must elect one team captain who will serve as the point of contact.
Awards will be given to the top team in each division as well as an overall team award.
A participation award will also be given to the team with the most number of participants.
